Stable Bleaching Powder (SBP)
DCM Shriram Chemicals produces Stable Bleaching Powder (SBP) with a capacity of 40,000 TPA at our Kota facility. This essential chemical is manufactured by reacting lime with liquid chlorine, a co-product of our chlor-alkali process. SBP contains approximately 35% available chlorine.
How it’s made
SBP is produced through the chlorination of high-grade hydrated lime. The resulting compound, calcium hypochlorite, is the active ingredient responsible for its bleaching and disinfecting properties.

Aquaculture
Disinfection of water for fish and shrimp farming.
Pulp & Paper
Used in bleaching processes.
Textile industry
Employed in textile finishing processes.
Sericulture (Silk Farming)
Disinfects rearing spaces, and controls pathogens in silkworm farming
